Let’s talk about Montage Los Cabos, a beautiful Forbes-rated 5-star luxury resort located on the swimmable beach of Santa Maria Bay, just 24 minutes from the airport. From the moment we arrived, we were spoiled with the specialty margarita welcome drink, early check-in, and a room upgrade. What a nice start to our vacation!
The accommodations were top-notch luxury with a plush king bed, and a full bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower including a soaking tub. Our room was recently upgraded with a plunge pool, which they are adding to several rooms throughout the property. The resort was at high capacity during our visit but we never felt like it was busy, never had a problem finding a chair at the pool/beach, or even walking up for breakfast or dinner. It’s a smaller resort with just 122 rooms (suites and up to 3 bedrooms) and 52 residences. There is also a top-rated luxurious spa and gym onsite for all guests to use during their stay.
Housekeeping left little items throughout our stay that just made me say, “wow”! Some examples are sunglass cleaning cloth by our sunglasses, a custom bookmark in my book, daily fresh fruit, and chocolate turndown service nightly. Poolside service was there for your every need before you even knew what you ne
eded. Dropping by with poolside snacks throughout the day. Yes, please!
The resort has 3 signature restaurants; featuring Modern Mexican, Mediterranean, and Thai cuisines. The food was incredible as well as the drinks. Service was amazing; everyone has their own concierge that checked on us several times daily and arranged all of our transportation, dining needs, etc.
The resort was stunning; everywhere you turned it was beautiful! The resort features 3 pools overlooking the ocean; an adults-only pool area and a quiet family pool including a kiddie area. There are also several private cabanas with pools as well as beach cabanas for rent. Beautiful swimmable beach surrounded by two beautiful rock formations, a great place for snorkeling and whale watching. We got lucky to see several whales breaching during our stay.
